Our Story

Located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Saturn Machine Works is the go-to, problem-solving machine shop. Established in 1999, Saturn knows that the existing solution is not necessarily the best solution, which is why we value creativity and testing new methods to improve processes, experience and service. Saturn is committed to providing state of the art, innovative solutions and strives to consistently provide top quality turnkey parts from our 24,000 sq. ft. facility for a wide range of industries such as oil and gas, mining, automotive, industrial, and electrical. Saturn is recognized with customers for providing top quality machined parts of all types, as well as prototypes and parts with complex geometries.

Our management team has over 100 years of combined machining experience and is a proud supporter of the Alberta Apprenticeship program. As well as other related training programs, this gives Saturn the experience of the past, and a vision for growth for the future

Community Investment

At Saturn Machine Works we believe in quality, not just of our products but in the quality of connections we make with our customers, our employees and our planet. Saturn is a community conscious company, promoting various causes within the machining community as well as supporting and sponsoring employee and family interests.

Advocate for Apprenticeship

Saturn has been actively involved in the Provincial Apprenticeship Committee (PAC) for 12 years, holding the title of the presiding officer for the PAC for 6 years. Additionally, Saturn has worked with government and colleges throughout the province to promote apprenticeships through the trades. Saturn encourages employees’ and others to get involved, with employees donating their time and expertise to the Local Apprenticeship Committee (LAC).

Charitable Partnerships

Saturn donates to various charities and causes, including employee driven sponsorships, various Go Fund Me causes for people in need, the Stollery Children’s Hospital and drug prevention programs such as Dare.

Saturn is an environmentally conscious company and we take precautions to protect our environment and minimize our footprint in any way we can. We recycle and practice safe disposal of used fluids and materials.
